The Environment Ministry said Sunday that part of its website has come under cyberattack and that people who tried to access it may have contracted a computer virus after being redirected.
The ministry said it discovered Friday that a section of its website that provides a system for checking carbon dioxide emissions in daily life had been altered by hackers on March 3.
The alteration directs viewers to a website that infects their computers with a virus. The ministry is urging anyone who visited the site to update and run their antivirus software.
