Download Music, Read Magazines Online Through New Library Services - Patch.com

The West Bloomfield Township Library has made several new download services available and will offer special drop-in sessions this week to help library patrons learn how to use them. 

Freegal lets you choose from more than 3 million songs from thousands of record labels and download the latest hit single or to fill in a playlist with something you’re missing. Highlights include the ability to

• Browse music by genre and top lists
• Search for a specific artist, album, song or composer  
• Download MP3 files that can be played both PC and Mac devices
• Find new releases of chart-topping singles and albums added on a regular basis 

West Bloomfield library cardholders can download up to three songs, with no expiration date, each week. 
 
Zinio allows you to download and read complete issues of 100 popular magazines. The digital editions deliver the same content as their print versions and look like their print equivalent. You can:

• Read issues on a computer, tablet or smartphone. 
• Find popular titles that include Consumer Reports, Forbes, Newsweek, Bloomberg Businessweek, Car and Driver, Rolling Stone, Prevention, and O, The Oprah Magazine. 

West Bloomfield library cardholders can download digital editions at westbloomfieldlibrary.org.

Drop by Discover Digital Downloads sessions on Wednesday, April 17 from 10 a.m.-noon, or Thursday, April 18, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the West Bloomfield Main Library. Librarians will be available to answer questions about the new services, as well as downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks from the Library. No registration is required.
